Sausage Sauerkraut Dish

The secret is out, and now you can make one of our prized recipes!  This dish is an excellent blend of sauerkraut and Polish Sausage for a truly East European flavor.

Serves: 4-6

Preparation Time: About 60 minutes

Difficulty Level: EASY

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pounds Kramarczuk’s Sauerkraut

  • 1 Vidalia Onion Chopped

  • 1 Garlic Clove chopped

  • 1 Tspn Salt

  • 1 Tspn Black Pepper

  • 1 Tspn Sugar

  • 2 Sticks Kramarczuk’s Polish Sausage

Directions:

  1. Sautee onion and garlic in butter over medium high heat until onion is tender.

  2. Add onion and garlic, salt, black pepper, and sugar to sauerkraut in either a large pot over low heat or a crock pot.  Stir occasionally.

  3. Meanwhile, simmer Polish Sausage in water for 15 minutes.  Remove from water then slice into ¾ inch slices, and add to sauerkraut.  Let simmer for 20 minutes then serve.
