Baked Apple & Cranberry Swedish Sausage

This recipe is a Kramarczuk family favorite and oh-so simple!  The cranberries add a perfect seasonal touch to the apples.  Be sure to remove the casings from the Swedish Sausages so they can absorb the flavors of the apples and cranberry sauce.

Serves: 4-6

Preparation Time: QUICK (10 minutes)

Bake Time: 60 minutes total

Difficulty Level: EASY

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples peeled and cut into ½ inch chunks

  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar

  • 14oz Can Whole-Berry Cranberry Sauce

  • 2 Rings Kramarczuk’s Swedish Sausage (About 2 Pounds)

Directions:

1.)     Preheat oven to 350°.  Butter two 9x9 pans.

2.)     Place apple chunks in large bowl and combine with brown sugar.  Next, incorporate the cranberry sauce.

3.)     Using a sharp knife, remove the casings from the Swedish Sausage Rings.  Place one each into the buttered pans, then distribute the apple-cranberry mixture on and around the sausages. 

4.)     Cover each pan with tinfoil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove tinfoil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
